Hello, I'm Adrian.

I'm an eng lead who cares about people, organizations, and making engineering work for everyone. I use tech to get ideas out there, into the world while also focusing on keeping large orgs running efficiently.

I'm a staff software engineer with decades of industry experience. My PhD in computer graphics led me to Google, where for the last 15 years I've been building tools and infrastructure to get ideas from the minds of our designers into the hands of our users.

I lead the engineering for Google Design, an org of ~250 engineers, designers, UX researchers, product and program managers that acts as Google's central UI and design team. What we create goes into every Google product, from Google Search to YouTube to Google Cloud to Gemini: tens of thousands of internal customers and billions of external customers.

In the past I've been fortunate to do interesting things like

I've presented to thousands on stage at places like Siggraph and Google I/O, and have been interviewed on the Design Notes podcast. I'm happy diving in with the new team to get their engineering stack worked out or getting thrown in with the VPs to make a pitch.

You can find me at the usual places like LinkedIn, GitHub, or Google Scholar, come say hi.
